Abstract
- The self-consistent equilibrium states of an electron beam in a longitudinal magnetic field B are investigated with the use of a model distribution function having quadratic dependence on the canonical angular momentum. The multiple character of the equilibrium is demonstrated for certain limited values of B (in particular, for B = 0).
