Abstract

Seventeen species of biting midges of genus Alluaidomyia Kieffer such as bifurcata, griffithi, maculosipennis, marginalis, ornatithorax*, pseudomarginalis, tripunctata*, typica*, angulata, insignis*, magna, spinosipes, subadunca*, unipunctata*, punctiradialis*, peculiaris* and xanthocoma are described in this paper. These species belong to five groups e.g. Annulata, Maculipennis, Marmorata, Parva and Xanthocoma by Wirth and Delfinado (1964). A new key is presented for easy identification of these species.
