Abstract

Upstream management and technological constant anxiety about production, transportation and storage or the crude oil includes gauging, running, and measuring processes variables (such temperature, API gravity, sediment and water, true boiling point, true vapor pressure) and consequently the evolves vapor rate in order not to removed it to the air as an atmospheric residual product but to be metered accurately to design properly the processes and operations to used it. Using tools such HySim, crude oil destilation and crude oil viscosity curve, it can be performed a complete oil characterization, defining composition, properties and of course the rate of the evolves gas during its storage in tanks.
