Abstract
- Grating waveguide structures have the opportunity to greatly improve photonic integrated circuit sensor sensitivity. We have examined the impact of wide subwavelength grating waveguide geometries on sensor performance. We present the progress of our design exploration and compare performance to existing slot and strip waveguide structures.
