Abstract
- 1-Propanethiol (CH3CH2CH2SH) was connected with O-polar zinc oxide (ZnO) surfaces toward biofunctional devices. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurement revealed that the S O bonds were formed between 1-propanethiol and ZnO layers. Although the surface coverage of the molecule is less than a few percent, 1-propanethiol/ZnO structures were stable even at thermal treatment of 400 °C.
