Abstract
- Chronic ruptures of the distal biceps tendon (DBT) are characterized by severe retraction and a severe Popeye deformity. Often these tears are irreparable due to muscle atrophy, tendon degeneration, and deficient tendon length. Surgical intervention involves extensive open procedures using autografts or allografts for augmentation and restoration of tendon length. This chapter presents an all-endoscopic autograft reconstruction technique for chronic irreparable DBT ruptures.
