Model study of short-range three-nucleon forces

A phenomenological three‐nucleon force is introduced to get rid of discrepancies between experimental data and calculations with a realistic nucleon‐nucleon force plus the two‐pion exchange three‐nucleon force in low‐energy three‐nucleon scattering observables. Effects of this force, which consists of scalar, vector, and tensor components in spin space, on observables at higher energies are examined.
