A novel design of vivaldi antenna for low RCS

In this paper, a novel design of Vivaldi antenna worked in the C, X band with lower RCS has been given. Through the perforation of the antenna metal surface and the dielectric plate, the induced current caused by the incident wave can be bounded with these conductive vias. On the condition that the antenna radiation performance is basically the same circumstances, the RCS of the antenna in the working band can be reduced significantly, especially in the higher frequency part of the operation band.
