Avaliaaao de Alternativa para Amortizaaao de Eventos de Inundaaao em Bacia de Drenagem Urbana (Evaluation of Alternatives for the Amortization of Flood Events in an Urban Drainage Basin)

Portuguese Abstract: Analisar a ocorrencia e propor alternativa para evitar eventos de inundacao na bacia de drenagem urbana da Tamandare, do municipio de Belem/PA. A pesquisa foi realizada em 3 etapas, tendo visitas tecnicas, analise de documentos da Prefeitura de Belem e estudos de alternativas de concepcao. Na primeira etapa foram quantificados os volumes de precipitacao pluviometrica e o volume util do canal de drenagem da bacia da Tamandare. Em seguida, foi identificada a vulnerabilidade da area e quantificada a mancha de inundacao na bacia. Na ultima etapa foi estudada a viabilidade de alternativas para evitar a ocorrencia de eventos de inundacao na bacia da Tamandare. Como resultado, foi possivel identificar que a bacia da apresenta problemas de inundacao em areas proximas ao canal Tamandare, principalmente quando coincidem os periodos de grande intensidade pluviometrica e o nivel maximo de agua da Baia do Guajara. Os registros desses eventos nas areas proximas ao canal da Tamandare permitiram identificar uma mancha de inundacao com area de 24.320,22 m2, contendo volume de inundacao de 3.393,76 m. Alem disso, foi verificado que a intrusao da mare reduz o volume disponivel para acumulacao de aguas pluviais nos 1.145,63 m de extensao do canal de drenagem da bacia. Por isso, foi definida a utilizacao de sistema de comporta e bombeamento para evitar a afluencia de agua da Baia do Guajara e impedir o transbordamento do canal de drenagem da Tamandare. English Abstract: To analyze occurrence and alternative propose to avoid flood events in the Tamandare urban drainage basin, in the city of Belem /PA. A research carried out in 3 stages, having technical visits, analysis of documents of the Municipality of Belem and studies of alternative design. In the first stage, the volumes of rainfall and the useful volume of the drainage canal of the Tamandare basin were quantified. Next, a vulnerability of the area was identified and the flood spot in the basin was quantified. In the last step the feasibility of alternatives to avoid the occurrence of flood events in the Tamandare basin was studied. As a result, it was possible to identify the basin of presentations of flood problems in areas alongside the Tamandare canal, especially when coinciding with periods of great rainfall intensity and the maximum water of Guajara Bay. The records resulted in the areas adjacent to the Tamandare canal, which allowed the identification of a flood spot with an area of 24,320.22 m, containing a flood volume of 3,393.76 m3. In addition, it was verified that the intrusion of the tide reduces the volume available for the accumulation of rainwater in the 1,145.63 m extension of the drainage canal of the basin. Therefore, a train and pumping system was used to avoid the influence of water from the Guajara Bay and to prevent the transshipment of the Tamandare drainage canal.
