Using Quizzes Instead of Paper Based Exams to Assess Control Topics

This paper focuses on the potential and practice of alternative forms of assessment to the conventional written exam. The paper summarises a trial at the University of Sheffield where the written exam was replaced by a computer quiz which was marked automatically.
