Experimental and clinical use of omental transposition for spinal cord pathology

In order to evaluate the ability of the omentum to revascularize the spinal cord in an experimental model, a series of experiments were undertaken. This model which we believe is original, involved local ischaemia to a particular segment of the spinal cord which did not affect the circulation to other organs of the body.
