Abstract

Extent of the glass former domain in the ternary AsGeTe system. Influence of the cooling speed on the glass formation. Correlation of the glass former ability with the phase diagram. Variation of Tg and crystallization temperatures as a function of the composition. 4 regions of glasses are characterized by their relations with the phase diagram and their thermal behaviour. A region of sub-liquidus separation of vitreous phases was observed, by annealing the glasses of lower content in tellurium; it is related to a similar phenomenon observed in the As-Te system.
