Abstract
- This chapter demonstrates the application of three standard qualitative methods in reading research. Jude Robinson and Josie Billington illustrate how ethnographic inquiry can be used effectively in a specific (and highly controlled) reading context (prisons). Ellie Gray and Gundi Kiemle demonstrate the appropriateness of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis in relation to reading and community mental health, while Melissa Chapple shows the application of Framework Analysis in relation to readers living with autism.
