Abstract

Coordination polymers have attracted much attention due to their unique physical and chemical properties, and nanoscale coordination polymers have been widely used in the field of biomedicine because of their unique biological activities. Iron phenolic coordination polymers have been extensively studied owing to their good biocompatibility, strong near-infrared absorption properties, and unique magnetic properties. Hence,in recent years, our group has synthesized a variety of iron phenolic coordination polymers with nanostructures through the unique structure of albumin by biomimetic mineralization. Meanwhile, the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI), photoacoustic imaging(PA), and photothermal therapy performance of the iron phenolic coordination polymer nanoparticles also were investigated. This paper mainly summarizes the research progress of our group in the coordination polymerization of iron phenols regulated by albumin, and further discusses the direction of this research work.
