Abstract

Objective To investigate the prevalence and risk factors of adult dyslipidemia in Gansu province. Methods A total of 31,417 people from the Han, Hui, Tibetan, Yugu, Dongxiang and Baoan ethnic groups in Gansu province, China were selected by stratified cluster random sampling, and the prevalence and risk factors of adult dyslipidemia were analyzed based on such sample. Results Of the recruits studied, the standardized rate of high total cholesterol (TC) was 6.6%, of high triglyceride (TG) was 20.3%, of high low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) was 3.6%, and of low high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was 19.7%.
