Abstract
- European Corrosion Congress 2011, EUROCORR 2011 -- 4 September 2011 through 8 September 2011 -- Stockholm<br />Composite bipolar plates for direct peroxide/peroxide fuel cell (DPPFC) were prepared using natural graphite and phenol formaldehyde resin. The corrosion behavior of composites in DPPFC environments was studied using polarization resistance and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. The plates were characterized for electrical conductivity, mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. The corrosion current density at the optimum composition was found to be 16.82 mA cm- 2 for alkaline fuel cell environments.
