EL GASTO TURÍSTICO EN CIUDADES PATRIMONIO DE LA HUMANIDAD. FACTORES DETERMINANTES Y SEGMENTACIÓN DE LA DEMANDA

Es abundante la literatura científica existente sobre gasto turístico y los factores que lo determinan. El objetivo de esta tesis doctoral es sistematizar, exponer y analizar los resultados obtenidos tras una profunda revisión de la literatura científica existente respecto a las variables que afectan al gasto turístico para las diferentes tipologías de turismo y, en especial, para los destinos en Ciudades Patrimonio de la Humanidad. De esta manera, se ha podido conocer qué factores influyen en el gasto realizado en las diferentes tipologías de destinos y contrastarlas con los factores que influyen en el gasto tanto total como por partidas (gasto en alojamiento, gasto en transporte, gasto en alimentación y gasto en visitas y ocio) en Úbeda y Baeza, ambas ciudades declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 2003. Tras esto, se ha llevado a cabo la segmentación de los turistas que acuden a estos destinos identificando seis clúster. There is abundant scientific literature on tourist expenditure and the factors which determine spending. The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to systematize, present and analyze the results obtained from a comprehensive review of existing scientific literature on the variables that affect tourist expenditure for different types of tourism and, especially, for the destinations in World Heritage Cities. In this way, it has been possible to discover which factors influence expenditure in the different types of destination and to confirm them with the factors that influence in the expense so much total as for items (spending in accommodation, expense in transport, expense in supply and expense in visits and leisure) in Úbeda and Baeza, both declared World Heritage Cities in 2003.
