Abstract
- Purpose of this paper, presented on the fifth annual meeting of the Baltic Sea Network on Occupational Health and Safety (Berlin, 18-19 November 1999), is to outline conceptual models of good practice (GP) in Health, Environment and Safety Management in Enterprises (HESME), present major components of national system supporting GP in HESME, prerequisites for GP HESME implementation, main stakeholders, principles of implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as to outline WHO programme aimed at assisting member states in this area.
