Abstract

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is currently used to treat several skin conditions. The FDA-approved indications for ALA-PDT and MAL-PDT are for actinic keratoses, basal cell carcinomas and Bowen disease. Common off-label uses include the treatment of acne vulgaris, warts, photoaging.
