Abstract

The subject of this research relates to the notion of collaboration in the process of brownfield regeneration as one of the most complex mechanisms for sustainable land use. Particularly, it is important to determine what are the appropriate forms of collaboration during the management process of brownfield regeneration. The first research objective implies the demonstration of theoretical model for the management of the planning phase of the brownfield regeneration process. This model comprises the following: collaboration of stakeholders in such a process, skills and knowledge necessary for it, as well as the nature of cooperation arrangements (i.e. whether they are formal or informal). The second objective of this research is to overview the existence and extent of stakeholders' collaboration in the brownfield regeneration process in the Republic of Srpska. This is based on the anlaysis of the survey conducted during the BrownInfo project implementation. Finally, the basic guidelines for the improvement of collaboration aspect in the brownfield regeneration process are briefly indicated.
