Encounters in Citizen Science - European Citizen Science Association (ECSA), 6-11 September 2020, Trieste, Italy<br />Citizen science is one of the eight priorities ofthe European Open Science Agenda, togetherwith the creation of the European OpenScience Cloud (EOSC). Citizen Science yieldsin a community that is continuouslyexpanding. This represents large-scalechallenges for citizen observatories whofacilitate an efficient capture, identification,validation, stewardship and storage of largevolumes of citizen science data. Within thisframework, the Horizon 2020 project,Co-designed Citizen Observatories Servicesfor the European Open Science Cloud(Cos4Cloud), aspires to integrate citizenobservatories in the EOSC ecosystem,developing essential research and technologyto co-design and prototype innovative services
