Costruire l’immagine di una città medievale: edilizia abitativa e spazi del potere a Tusculum (Lazio)

[IT] Questo articolo analizza la struttura urbanistica medievale di Tusculum (X-XII secolo), indagata tramite l’uso combinato di fotografie aeree (con drone e aquilone), analisi topografiche, ricerche geofisiche e campagne di scavo. Questi dati sono il risultato del progetto “Tusculum”, dedicato allo studio delle fasi post-classiche di questo insediamento situato circa 30 km a sud-est di Roma.
[EN] In the following pages, an analysis of Tusculum’s urban planning (10th-12th centuries), based on aerial photographs (with drone and kite), topographical analysis, geophysical surveys and stratigraphic excavation campaigns is presented. These data result from “Tusculum” Research Project, dedicated to the rediscovery and study of the medieval phase of this important ancient settlement situated 30 km south-east of Rome.
