“LOVERS-FRIENDS”, THE ALTERNATIVE TO EROS? A PARATOPIC INTERPRETATION OF THE COUPLE IN PANAÏT ISTRATI’S ONCLE ANGHEL AND PRÉSENTATION DES HAÏDOUCS Panaït Istrati used to grant a considerable place on his oeuvre to his experience and thought. However, their impact on his love and couple’s representations remains littleknown yet despite their influence on the writer’s paratopias, on his Oncle Anghel and Présentation des haïdoucs and on their originality. This paper aims to examine the effects of two paratopias on the vision of Oncle Anghel and Présentation des haïdoucs on the couple’s love and to measure its originality, compared to the author’s first plots and contextualized in the period of the interwar.
