Abstract

Open clusters are often used to investigate the chemical evolution of stars and galaxies. By studying several stars that belong to the same cluster, we can statistically more accurately estimate abundances of chemical elements, age, distance from the Sun and the Galactic Center. The aim of this work is to determine the basic atmospheric parameters and chemical abudances for eight red giant stars in the open cluster NGC6067. To achieve this we used SPLAT-VO and EQWIDTH software packages and high-resolution spectra obtained with the FEROS spectrograph. Obtained abundances were compared with results of other works and models. Parameters of stars seem to favour a slightly higher age - around 80-150 Myrs. Comparison with models shows a good agreement with theoretical thin disk models at given metallicity. The significant overabundance of [Na/Fe] shows, that for stars around 6M the classical first dredge up model fails to reproduce accurate results.
