THE AVIFAUNA OF THE EOCENE AND OLIGOCENE PHOSPHORITES DU QUERCY (France): AN UPDATED LIST

National audience; The excavations which have been carried out during the last fourty years in the Phosphorites du Quercy made it possible to find fossil avifaunas accurately dated by associated micro- and macromammals, and to also date some of the taxa gathered during the nineteenth century excavations. This work gives an updated list of the Quercy avifauna and includes the description of a new family, the Cypselavidae.
