Abstract

Plasma activated water is produced treating sterile distilled water by means of an atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge. Tomato plants, belonging to different cultivars and experimentally inoculated with Xanthomonas vesicatoria under greenhouse conditions, and phytoplasma infected grapevine plants in vineyards were treated with plasma activated water in order to evaluate its effectiveness as an alternative means to control plant diseases.
