Abstract
- This study explores the role of trust in teachers in the relation between teachers’ fairness and students’ desirable behaviors. The results of structural- equation modelling performed on a sample of 1513 students suggest that teachers’ distributive, procedural and interactional fairness intensifies students’ desirable behaviors towards their teachers and faculty as an institution, through students’ trust in their teachers. In other words, teachers’ fair treatment of their students strengthens students’ trust in their teachers, and because of that strengthened trust, students’ desirable behaviors towards their teachers and faculty are enhanced as well. The results of this research provide valuable insights and implications for both, science and practice, by highlighting the role of teachers’ fairness and trust in teachers, in increasing students’ desirable behaviors.
