Usos y gratificaciones en el consumo de las aplicaciones de internet en personas mayores. un estudio desde la perspectiva de género

El siguiente estudio aborda el uso que hacen hombres y mujeres mayores de las aplicaciones de Internet, así como las gratificaciones que esperan y obtienen, antes y después de dicho uso. También explora las motivaciones, necesidades y dificultades que encuentran y que les llevan a aprender y desarrollar nuevas habilidades digitales con el objetivo de afrontar el cambio tecnológico. Asimismo, se propone una comparación desde la perspectiva de género entre hombres y mujeres para examinar las diferencias y similitudes que existen entre ambos al hacer uso de la tecnología.
This study aims to investigate both the use of internet applications among the elderly and the level of gratifications sought and obtained before and after such use. As well, this study explore the motivations, needs and difficulties encountered that lead the elderly to both learn and develop new digital skills in order to face the current technological shift. Additionally, a comparison from gender perspective, to further examine the differences and similarities of Internet use between elderly men and women
