Dark Tourism como uma experiência educacional: análise da potencialidade turística sobre a revolta dos búzios em Salvador, Bahia - Brasil

O Dark Tourism é uma tipologia do turismo relacionado com a visita em locais onde a morte e o sofrimento estão associados, sejam estes locais reais ou recriados. Em algumas cidades do Brasil é possível identificar a prática deste tipo de turismo, porém não é comum na cidade de Salvador. A ideia central deste trabalho passa por identificar o nível de aceitação da população soteropolitanas1 em relação ao desenvolvimento de um roteiro turístico com principal foco na Revolta dos Búzios, inserido no seguimento Dark, com a finalidade de explorar o mesmo como uma experiência educacional. A pesquisa segue de forma exploratória, procurando perceber a influência e a importância histórica do acontecimento, bem como o interesse e a aceitação da população para a elaboração do projecto. Verificou-se que, a motivação em aprender mais sobre a própria história e a opção de atrair turistas a uma área menos turística da cidade, despertou a curiosidade dos entrevistados para o desenvolvimento do roteiro. A partir dos resultados foi possível concluir que a elaboração do roteiro será fulcral para a comunidade, por ser suficientemente atractivo e capaz de conscientizar sobre a sua própria história e trazer para o presente as memórias de um passado de luta, além de estímulo para o surgimento de outras actividades dentro da temática Dark e outros trabalhos académicos na área. Dark Tourism is a type of tourism that is related to visiting places where death and suffering are associated, whether these places are real or recreated. In some cities in Brazil, it is possible to identify the practice of this type of tourism, but it is not common in the city of Salvador, so the central idea of this work will be to identify the level of acceptance of the city's population in relation to the development of a tourist itinerary focusing on Revolt dos Búzios, inserted within the Dark segment, in order to be explored also as an educational experience. The research follows an exploratory manner, seeking to understand the influence and historical importance of the event, the interest, and the acceptance of the population for the development of the project. It was found that the motivation in learning more about their own history and the option of attracting tourists to a less touristic area of the city, provoked the curiosity of the interviewees for the development of the tour. From the results it was possible to conclude that the elaboration of the tour will be important for the community because it will be an attraction capable of raising awareness and bringing to the present memories of a past of struggle, in addition to stimulating the emergence of other activities within the Dark and other academic works in the area.
