Abstract
- SMOS & Aquarius Science Workshop, 15-17 April 2013, Brest, France<br />Measurements of upper ocean in-situ salinity were conducted during the STRASSE and MIDAS campaigns, which are contributions to the SPURS salinity experiment. Both of these cruises were conducted in the Sub-Tropical North Atlantic in a strong evaporative region. We deployed the Air-Sea Interaction Profiler (ASIP) which has the capability to acquire data from below the mixed layer to the air-sea interface. Here we present an overview of the results from these field experiments in the context of sea surface salinity
