Vehicles with combined (hybrid) power drive are becoming more and more common. Hybrid automobile vehicles are now produced in series (for example, Peugeot-508 RXH) and the first shunting locomotive TEM9H «Sinara Hybrid» has been produced in Russia. There are two main reasons for this evolution: the problems of energy saving and environmental protection [1].The theory and structure of hybrid power drives have taken shape only in general terms by present time, in addition, there are a great number of alternatives for separate operation elements. For example, buffered energy storage may be represented by flywheels, batteries, super-capacitors and even by superconducting inductive energy storage (cryogenic coil) [2].According to the elements mentioned above, the present paper presents a technical project for an experimental installation dedicated to the study of a hybrid traction drive for a land vehicle, the choice of its parameters and the synthesis of its control system
