Abstract

Working conditions, environmental protection and quality control are increasingly important for organizations. Most companies are being confronted with sharply increasing requirements in all three areas. It is up to the managers and the respective experts to determine the most desirable strategies for meeting these new requirements. This thesis describes the first systematic research on the joint management of these three aspects. It proves that it is vital for modern management to create and use the opportunities for synergy between the three areas and to achieve greater effectivity while simultaneously reducing costs. The thesis includes case studies in steel wire, trucks, paint, plastic and rubber industries.
