Abstract

One of the reasons restraining the use of microwave radiation in the foundry is the uneven heating of the processed solids and molding sand. An urgent task is to assess the type of radiation power distribution in the chamber of a microwave oven. In the heating chamber of the microwave oven, the microwave power beams are distributed cyclically and geometrically coincide with the antinodes of the standing wave in it. Accordingly, the bodies or mixtures installed in the chamber between the antinodes of the standing wave will not be heated during their processing in the microwave oven.
