Abstract

Indicators are tools by which we monitor and evaluate the quality of products and services that have been done within the defined work processes in a given period of time. Indicators point to what is actually done and what is being done in a given time. To a certain extent, they allow us to timely recognize and observe segments of work that require corrective action, or to detect the strengths within a particular process that is necessary to maintain the existing level. Each of us has a natural tendency to be better than others, and monitoring the indicators of the quality of work puts us at a realistic level and tells us what it takes to change and achieve this trend.
