Abstract

Computer simulation begin as one of the fastest and the most efficient ways of designing and checking is commonly used nowadays. The accuracy of the mathematical interpretation used for simulation should be checked by field measurements or measurements on scaled models. Therefore, the simulation of sound field in bounded plane was checked on a scaled model. The level of sound pressure was measured on the model, especially designed for the presented research. The characteristics of the model are similar to the characteristics of bounded plane. The results of the measurements obtained in this way were compared with those obtained by computer simulation. The performed comparison proves the quality of computer simulation of a sound field.
