Rusyfikacija ukrajins'kyh toponimiv u horvats'kij geografičnij terminologiji – tradyciji i novi tendenciji / Русифікація українських топонімів у хорватській географічній термінології – традиції і нові тенденції

In Croatian language foreign toponyms are presented in an original form (concerning languages with Latin alphabet) or they are transliterated / transcribed (concerning non-Latin alphabet languages). In practice, use of foreign synonyms in scientific, lexicographic and cartographic reference sources by mass media etc. is accompanied by orthographic divergences. Considering all the above mentioned, along with tendencies in standardization of toponyms according to UNGEGN, there still remains the need for standardization of Ukrainian toponyms in Croatian language.
