UTJECAJ NAKNADNOG NITRIRANJA NA TRIBOLOŠKA SVOJSTVA MARTENZITNIH KOROZIJSKI POSTOJANIH ČELIKA

A study was carried out on afternitriding impacts on tribological properties and corrosion resistance of pre-induction hardened martensitic stainless steels. Metalographic structure analysis and hardness testing of modified surface samples were made. Wear reistance of steel surface protection was verified on a friction and wear tester, in combination with gravimetric measurements in the bath for continuous corrosion testing. The results of the researches carried out showed a higher wear resistance of afternitriding martensitic stainless steels for one order of magnitude, compared to the only induction hardened condition, with less corrosion resistance
