Abstract

In order to obtain scientific results on the perception of climate change in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, in this paper, the hypothesis of economic prosperity was correlated with the data from the 10th round of the European Social Survey, where the attitude (scepticism) towards climate change was studied in Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro. The general results of this paper show that the denial of climate change is an established phenomenon among the former Yugoslav population. It has been confirmed that the economic prosperity of the countries significantly affects the perception of climate change.
