Abstract

UPR (unfolded protein response) signaling reshapes the tumor microenvironment, promoting angiogenesis, immune evasion, and extracellular matrix remodeling. The UPR enables communication between cancer cells and stromal components through both cell-autonomous and cell-non-autonomous mechanisms.UPR-driven signaling pathways in the TME regulate stromal and immune cell functions, contributing to cancer progression.Targeting UPR-regulated communication between tumor cells and their microenvironment offers a novel strategy to develop cancer therapies.
