Abstract
- We are introducing an innovative organic semiconductor electroluminescent device capable of emitting light with unprecedented characteristics: high directionality (divergence angle of 1.1°) and high color purity (full width at half‐maximum of 2.5 nm). This achievement was realized through intricate design techniques aimed at enhancing gain via meticulous recombination zone control, complemented by the reduction of losses through minimizing the overlap of the optical mode with the electrodes. These groundbreaking results mark the world's first demonstration of simultaneously achieving a narrow spectrum and superior directionality in an organic electroluminescent device.
