Abstract

•Tubby-like protein-coding genes were identified and thoroughly characterized in walnut.•JrTLPmembers were divided into five groups, and most of them contained the featured F-box and Tubby domains.•JrTLP2and JrTLP8are involved in the modulating pathogen resistance.•JrTLPswere highly responsive to phytohormone treatments and abiotic stresses.
