Abstract
- A new class of models for compact stars is developed by assuming a color-flavor locked equation of state in connection to anisotropic stellar configuration. The Einstein field equations are solved for the interior region by using a specific choice of the ansatzfor the metric potential function grr. As usual, the exterior solution is assumed as the Schwarzschild metric and is joined to the interior metric as obtained across the boundary of the star. These matching of the metrics, along with the condition of the vanishing radial pressure at the boundary, leads us to determine the model parameters. We have verified the physical acceptability of the solutions using estimated data (mass and radius) available from pulsar 4U1608−52. We plotted the mass–radius relationship for the presented model with different surface densities and also showed the variation of mass and radius with central density graphically. All these plots are quite important to extract information regarding the internal features of the spherical stellar configuration.
