Abstract

•Racial disparities in donor availability limit access to HLA-matched HSCT.•The use of HLA-mismatched (5 to 7/8) unrelated donors may increase transplant access.•In an ethnically diverse cohort, all patients had ≥100 donors with 5 to 6/8 matches.•Expansion of the donor pool may allow prioritization of other donor factors.•Studies comparing mismatched versus other alternative donor transplants are required.
