Abstract

•Structural, electronic, and optical properties of Sr3Sbl3were studied using FP-DFT.•The influences of compressive and tensile strains on Sr3Sbl3were also investigated.•Effect of spin-orbital coupling (SOC) were studied on Sr3Sbl3 perovskite in details.•The PV performance of Sr3SbI3absorber based structure were investigated via SCAPS-1D.•The maximum power conversion efficiency was found 29.91% for 4% compressive strain.
