Synergistic N-Heterocyclic Carbene/Palladium-Catalyzed Allylation of Aldehydes with Allylic Carbonates

The synergistic merger of a thiazolium N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) catalyst and a palladium–bisphosphine catalyst enabled the allylation of aldehyde acyl anions using allylic carbonates as electrophiles.
