Genetic characterization of a Salmonella entericaserovar Typhimurium isolated from an infant with concurrent resistance to ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin and azithromycin

•We describe a strain of S. Typhimurium resistant to 28 antibiotics.•The strain carried 54 AMR genes, and blaOKP-B-10was found in Salmonellafirst.•The strain carried two novel plasmids.•pSH11G993-1 carried 14 AMR genes, including blaCMY-2, mphA, and ermB.•pSH11G993-2 endowed the strain virulence and resistance.
