Abstract
- •-Biodegradable multilayer active packaging showed excellent oxygen barrier properties.•-Shelf-life of both sunflower oil and pesto sauce was improved during storage.•-Pesto activated pouches maintained better quality characteristics at 25 °C than 45 °C.•-New active pack reduce oxidation kinetics of sunflower oil at 35 °C and pesto at 25 °C.
