Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients With High Peripheral Blood Eosinophil Counts Have Better Predicted Improvement in 6MWD After Rehabilitation

The influence of blood eosinophil (EOS) on the effect of pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) has not been investigated previously. The improvement of 6-min walking test (6MWT) distance was more significant in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients with a high blood EOS count. A high peripheral blood EOS count could be used to predict the improvement in 6MWT distance with PR in COPD patients.
