•Building an experimental platform for flue gas dehydration with the ceramic membrane tube.•Circulating water and purge gas are used as the cooling medium.•The operating parameters are divided into flue gas and cooling medium parameters.•Correlation analysis of permeate flux and intrinsic factors influenced by operating parameters.•Excessive transmembrane pressure difference can damage the selective permeability of ceramic membranes.
