Abstract
- In organic electrolyte solution, the intercalation of anions into graphite electrode bears enormous influence of the anion solvation. Traditional carbonate solvents inevitably have some shortcomings, therefore multi-solvent electrolyte solutions are more convenient and flexible in solving practical problems, but the anion storage mechanism is hard to be discerned. In this paper, the intercalation of tetrafluoroborate (BF4−) anions into graphite electrode from ethylene carbonate (EC)/γ-butyrolactone (GBL) binary solutions are studied through several ex situ and in situ electrochemical methods. The electrochemical intercalation process of BF4−into graphite electrode from EC/GBL binary solutions is deduced.
